Of course I have no idea if most of my picks, can sing but here goes.

Anthony -- No idea :-/

Johanna -- Someone like Kelly MacDonald

Tobias -- Freddie Highmore

Judge Turpin -- Jeffrey Jones

The Beadle -- Richard E. Grant (he was delicious as Barkis Bittern, I also think he would be very good as the judge, but his age might be a factor against)

Jonas Fogg -- Paul Whitehouse

Lucy -- Emily Watson

Interesting choices there, Boobaba. Emily Watson seems perfect for Lucy. Jeffrey Jones would also be a good fit for the judge.

I didn't know who Paul Whitehouse was:

You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

The judge as David Bowie is a great idea.
The picture, Liz, is kind of how I imagine Sweeny, just add more more street wiseness and greasy.

Suits me!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!
