Edgar Allan Poe Tidbit #7 - Could He, Would He?

Unread postby Liz » Sun Oct 30, 2005 11:12 am

I'm going to end our Poe discussion with a tidbit which is a spoof about our two short stories and another well-known story. Thanks to Suki for sending this to me.

You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Too funny!!! Who would ever have thoght to combine those two authors!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!

Thanks Liz and Suki! That's really clever. I like the new names he has for the books

I'll add my thanks, too, Liz and Suki!
I love it!! Will pass it on to other Poe enthusiasts I know.
The edge … there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. HST

"Humor for smart people with bad taste--"

I was laughing so hard one of the CPA's came out of his office to see what I was doing. Fortunately, it's my lunch time.
