Johnny Comments on the American Dream

Unread postby DeppInTheHeartOfTexas » Sun Oct 02, 2005 11:10 am

Endora wondered what Johnny's take on the American Dream might be. deppstergirl posted this interview from Deauville on the Video Clips board and Johnny mentions the American Dream. The interview is during the press junket for Blow. (I just love synchronicity!)

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!

Dang. I can't listen to it now. Too many people around. :banghead:
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Synchonicity indeed! An interesting piece.
Work hard, learn well, and make peace with the fact that you'll never be as cool as Johnny Depp. GQ.

Everything is always okay in the end,
if it's not, then it's not the end.

I loved that too, V! Was he scratching his head through the hole in his hat or scratching his hat?

 I didn't even notice that. I'm thinking we know him a little bit too well.
