Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

This stanza reminds me of Barbossa, Davy Jones, and Jack Sparrow. Little details in the 3 movies reminds me of how they all are common with eachother, how they all want to be on top. These three guys are very competitive and seem to compare themselves with eachother, and try to reach higher than eachother. If one of them doesn't get higher than the others, or gets their way, they become bitter and vain. Just thought I would add that in.

Thanks, Heather! Those three are certainly competing with each other! :duel:

The last line reminds me of Jack. We're never sure if he has actual plans or not but he certainly enjoys the challenge of getting to his goals!

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans

I think Captain Jack definitly enjoys his plans. As he said to Will "you escaped from the brig even quicker than I thought you would." "Think like me"

I'm not sure anyone on the planet can accomplish thinking like Jack!

Avoid loud and agressive persons

This line really reminds me of Barbossa. How he treats everybody, and yells at Jack. He was really agressive in COTBP, but he seemed to calm down just a little bit in AWE. :capnjack:

Linda - Yeah!!

When & Who fight
COTBP - Barbossa & Jack
DMC - Davy Jones & Jack
AWE - Davy Jones & Barbossa & Jack

I would agree, Heather. I would like to throw Beckett in there with them, though.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Beckett is probably the most vain and bitter of them all!
