The scenes that I am most looking forward to seeing are when Charlie finally get the golden ticket and tells his family. Also the first look inside the factory, can't wait to find out what Tim Burton and the set designers have created. I am also curious about the part where Willy goes into the jungle, I saw this in the trailer and it finally dawned on me that was where he discovered the Oompa Loompas.
I really enjoyed this book and the tidbits and the discussion have been really great! Thanks so much Liz and Dithot for all of your research and challenging questions.

The scene I am most looking forward to is when Willy Wonka makes his first appearance. I expect to find myself on the floor.

I know what you mean, DITHOT. I'm definitely going to see in on an IMAX screen, but I think I'll wait a while. With the amount of times I'm planning on seeing this movie over the summer, I'll be flat-out broke if I see it in IMAX every time. I don't think I'd be able to pay much attention to the move anyway, seeing Johnny on that huge screen. :-O

There's no way I'd be able to choose only one scene from the book that I'm looking forward to seeing. I can't wait to see all of it! I do know that I'll be anxious to see Johnny's first appearance onscreen though. Maybe he'll do something really memorable, like with his Captain Jack entrance in POTC.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!

I was just thinking that. :capnjack:

Well, a few of those IMAX theaters aren't too hard for me to get to, and I suspect there will be another one closer to me because my friend saw The Polar Express at one not too far away from me. So I'll look forward to seeing that. Thanks everyone. :cloud9:
Didn't I tell you, if you're gonna cheat on me, you don't cheat on my bowling night? Didn't I say that?

Oh yes.....the Jungle Scene--one that wasn't in the book, but one to which I am so looking forward.:bounce:

You are welcome, Axelsgirl. And thanks to everyone for your insightful participation in this discussion. Remember there is one more question.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.
