I was looking closely at the picture to see the same thing, but if so, it's very skillfully done. I can't tell.

Did Johnny and Bardem have to sit down, so as not to be taller than Cruise? Yes, I am bad

This is going to sound odd, but I love the weight of age on him. It could have gone differently. Pretty faces don't always hold their own, but if anything Johnny's presence seems more compelling, for me at least, than when he was young. I hope he continues interested in giving us new characters to look it.

Have to agree with you. He's a being on a whole other level now from the guy who was in Benny and Joon, no doubt about it. It's like he's only become more knowledgeably infinite...

I had begun to think Invisible Man had gone away. Interesting that Javier Bardem is involved with Frankenstein.

I am not sure where else to post this so apologies if it shouldn't be here - but I saw The Mummy today - purely because it is part of a series Johnny is expected to be in. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and can kind of see how this universe might work with a bunch of different characters channelling the good/evil dynamic. It was a proper jump-out-of-your-skin old fashioned horror genre. I kept thinking of Ed Wood and how I can now see why the heritage of these Universal studio films would attract Johnny. It is definitely a 'set-up' movie for a series. Lots of hints to the other characters/monsters to come. Worth going to see, if you can tear yourself away from Pirates 5 - although honestly, why would you want to?

Ade: nice to hear you enjoyed The Mummy! I know I was impressed by the trailer -- which I saw waiting for Pirates 5. There were at least 8 other coming attractions and none stuck to me like The Mummy. And then all the notices were bad. It's a shame that we allow our own judgement of a thing to be shredded by bad reviews. I will try to see it now. Thanks!
