ONBC's Next Book

The Honourable Charlie Mortdecai invites you to join him in a venture that promises to be highly enjoyable, if slightly perilous. Along the way, he’ll introduce you to his “large, dangerous, one-fanged, one-eyed thug” Jock, his “ravishing wife Joanna,” a duke and at least two, if not four, spies, and one very dead Oxford don. Come join us…..Charlie Mortdecai is downright addictive!

Tidbits begin January 12, discussion to follow.

If you’re in, ORDER YOUR BOOK NOW. It could take a bit of time……unless you have a Kindle or something similar or you live in the UK. If you live in the US and want to read the paperback, it takes 18-26 weeks to receive the book. But you can also find it on Google Books or as an iBook for your iPhone.
"Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed and some few to be chewed and digested." Sir Francis Bacon, Of Studies

I found another source for the paperback, with very fast shipment. The book will arrive in 3 to 10 business days.

Shipping is free to Canada and the USA.

There are two choices, both from Abe Books via The Book Depository in Gloucester, UK:

You can dig a bit further from these links and find other options, some are cheaper, but they charge shipping so watch out for that.

Thanks, Joni.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Hello Ladies from ONBC
It is so exciting that you choose this book for the next discussion :truefan: :heartflower:
I tried again and again to finish reading 'Black Mass' ,but it is not my favorite one and it's too difficult to read for me in English. :hypnotic:
Therefore I it put it into the shelf and take the next book that I haven't read...and that was 'Mortedecai'...it's so funny. I couldn't read two sentences in a row ,because I'm laughing about the first.
Thank you Liz and Firefly ...it feels good ,that a funny book is following the crime theme. :yahoo: :thanks!:
Love marija

I have ordered a copy from the new and used dealers section, it should be here next week. I have had very good luck with new and used, most of the used are like new or else they really are as described (but usually in better condition than described).

No. They have recently reprinted it and changed the cover to the one shown in my link. I have an older version with a different cover. It is green with an artist's rendition of Mortdecai.
I have nothing to do and all day to do it in.

Much thanks to everyone who is helping our Noodlemantras locate the book! :airkiss:
I'm glad to find out that there are some quicker options.

Hi, Everyone,

This will my first ONBC meeting, after all these years "lurking" and hanging out in the Zone. :noodlemantra: I'm happy to report that there is an ebook on Ibooks (Mac/Ipad) with the cover presented here (of course, Ed Wood isn't included. ;-) ) At the moment, it is $9.99, however, I'm hoping that it will be on special with the film arriving soon.

Other than the Tidbits and the "Guidelines," anything else I should remember or be aware of?

Sincerely,
~Neverland'sWendy~ :goodvibes:
