What was your favorite chapter (in time) in the book?

What in particular resonated with you?

Not sure really since I enjoyed the whole book. As in the previous question I found the chapter on The Chelsea Hotel fascinating, quite amazing that all these people just seemed to be living there. Its a totally alien concept to me I suppose all these people living in a hotel, all brought together in one place all so creative in their different ways.

I don't think it was a whole chapter since there really weren't many chapters (and I don't really notice the divisions when I'm reading). But I really liked the parts when Patti went to Paris, both with her sister and by herself. I enjoyed just reading about her travels and experiences.

Mostly, I enjoyed the whole book.

Even though I enjoyed the whole book, I only marked one part, so I guess that is what resonated with me. It's not a whole chapter, but something that came up on page 217 when Patti asked Sam to sponsor her trip to Ethiopia~

"Robert was appalled at the idea. He succeeded in convincing Sam that I would get lost, kidnapped or be eaten alive by wild hyenas."

and then again on page 225, when the destination this time was Charleville, France~

"Robert had no objection since there were no hyenas in France."

Even though they all had a good laugh, I think behind the humour, this shows how deeply Robert cared for Patti, and her for him -- that she respected his fears even though they sounded childish.

I found Robert to be very child-like, in a good way.

I enjoyed the entire book, too, T.

But I think it was the time at the Chelsea I enjoyed the most....because of all of her stories about that time period and the people she met.

Good quotes, Joni.

I DO think he cared. And I really want to explore this in a future question. In fact, for me, that is what resonated with me in this book - their relationship. So, be prepared.....I may talk about it ad nauseum.
