Life After Death Question #13 - And along comes Lorri

Unread postby Liz » Sun Dec 09, 2012 6:47 am

Oops. I guess I'm still in La La Land (well I am physically still in La La Land, but I guess mentally too) - I just now (at 2:00 in the morning) realized I had the next question. So here goes......

What do you think of Lorri’s entry into Damien’s life?
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Anyone who sees an injustice and steps up to help right it is a hero, in my opinion.

I agree that it is admirable to step up to the plate to attempt to right what one perceives as an injustice. But the romantic part of the relationship has always seemed a bit strange to me. In many ways they went about forming a relationship in a very sane and rational way, through getting to know each other mentally and spiritually first.

From what I understand from interviews with Lorri that I have read,
she was inexplicably drawn to him. She just felt compelled to reach out to him. I so get that!
I have done things in the past, without really understanding why, but I felt a strong pull in that direction. The answer has come far later, and I know then that I did the right thing, followed the right path.
He said, "Wow, Very Nice!", and signed my painting. TIFF 2015.

Yeah, I'm a romantic and a believer in kismet. Sometimes strong pulls like that don't make sense (to me or to other people), but I believe in following them. They usually will make sense later, like Snowcat said.
