Jim Pierson Q&A #8

Unread postby Liz » Wed May 30, 2012 10:53 pm

ONBC: To what do you attribute the ongoing interest in DS? What is the legacy of the show?

Jim: Dark Shadows was unique in the 1960s and it is still unique today. It provided an imaginative escape for so many viewers of all types – kids to housewives and everything inbetween. It had a fusion of elements that merged the supernatural in a serialized format that was very intriguing – plus the original show had a lot of theatrical energy to it with distinctive, stage-trained actors bringing a lot of talent and appeal to the show each day.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.
