I just heard "We Gotta Rise" What a straight-up, old time political action song! Wow! I am impressed as all get-out. Hunter Thompson must be dancing up a storm somewhere. Just a snippet of the lyrics, "We gotta rise and mobilize. It's you and me. We gotta rise. Let's rise above the lies..." And it continues talking about the need to organize. Over at You Tube someone called it THE NEW ANTHEM. And the damn thing makes you want to clap and stamp. Wow!

Johnny Depp, you dear man, you did real good, real, real good.

From (I hate to admit I clicked on it  ) Rolling Stone:
The Boogieman Surprise” is a churning cut that finds Johnny Depp and Joe Perry trading rugged guitar riffs and crackling licks on top of a heavy drums stomp. Frontman Alice Cooper delivers a vintage vocal performance, growling, “Finalize, paralyze, specialize, scandalize/You’re gonna fake it/You ain’t ready for the boogieman surprise/You ain’t ready for the boogieman.”

Can't wait to find out what the boogieman's surprise is.

And in a little bit I'm seeing the Vampires - can't wait!

Hi! I’m new here. I’ve been a long-time Depp admirer. I spent the majority of my teenage years on the Depp Impact forum (lol). I’m almost 30 now and last Saturday my dream came true - I met Johnny. I was fortunate enough to get a backstage pass for the last stop on the Hollywood Vampires tour. It wasn’t a guarantee that I would be meeting him so of course I didn’t want to get my hopes up (read: I was completely unprepared). Security brought me to a line in front of a tent where Johnny, Alice, and Joe were posing for photos with fans. When it was my turn, I walked up to them, shook Alice’s hand, shook Joe’s hand. I turned to face Johnny and he opened his arms for me. I hugged him and said “I can’t believe I’m finally meeting you” and he replied “thank you, thank you, that’s so sweet”. I had my photo taken with him. He kissed my cheek, hugged me again (he smelled wonderful), and that was that. I was in the third row for the show, right in front of him. He looked so happy, so healthy. He was constantly acknowledging people in the audience. It was such a great show. He even threw out some guitar picks and I got one that has his initials on it.

I’m still reeling from the experience. I can’t stop thinking about it. Every spare moment of my day is dedicated to thinking about it. I don’t even know what to do now. What does one do after they meet their idol?! He was so kind, so gracious. More so than I could have ever imagined. Everything I felt during my teenage years has just been rekindled. I wish I had done more, said more. Made a better impression. Sigh. All I want to do is go back to that night.

Anyway, I found this forum and hoped I could talk about this with people who, well, get it. I hope I don’t sound too crazy!

Welcome soleilvie! You describe what it's like and the wonderful aftermath of a close encounter with Johnny. Although, lucky, lucky you to get an even closer encounter than I have had.
:lovedrunk:
He said, "Wow, Very Nice!", and signed my painting. TIFF 2015.

Johnny Depp, you dear man, you did real good, real, real good.

I kind of feel that "We Gotta Rise" is a call to the Depp fans to rise up and spread his word of truth and facts since the media won't do it. I know of a few Depp armys that have no problem doing this.
