Notes? you made notes? :yikes:

I did too. I knew I would no longer have the book around by the discussion and can’t rely on my memory. Now I just have to read my terrible scribbling.

Very Interesting. I loved the photos. I like the one of Keith on the floor at Nellcote with his guitar, where you can see how dirty the bottoms of his feet are.

Re: Life Tidbit #32 ~ Ladies Sing the Blues Part 3

Etta James has a really powerful voice. Don't really know her stuff again not really my kind of music on the whole. That 2009 clip she looks fantastic for her age lost alot of weight. I'm sure that clip of Mick singing he was a bit drunk. Yes she does look good there and her voice is beautifu...

Isn’t the girl in the “Just Another Night” video that you asked if she was from thriller, Rae Dawn Chong, Tommy Chongs daughter?

Re: Life Tidbit #24 ~ Teenagers

Yes, teenagers have always been even before they were named. My parents generation all worked young but by the time my generation came along we were expected to finish school and go to college and they preferred that we didn’t marry too young. I did have friends and relatives that quit high sc...

Re: HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY NOODLEMANTRAS!

Happy 8th Birthday Noodlemantras. Thanks Liza and Dithot for my home away from home. I missed the first 3 years and only jumped onboard in 2006 but that didn’t stop me from going back and reading the books you read before my time and enjoying the archives. Thanks for all the time you spend keeping O...

All of the places Keith lives are scenic and beautiful. They seem to be secluded either by woods or water.

Re: Life Tidbit #19 ~ Buddy Holly

Reads like a walk down memory lane. I was about the same age as you Nebraska when they died but didn’t really realize until later how popular their music was. I still have a recording of Richie Valens La Bomba and can sing along with Peggie Sue.. I sure remember the song “the day the music died”. It...

Yes, like you ladies, those songs are the same as if I heard them yesterday. I had records of all their hits when I was a kid. I didn’t know much of their career either but sure knew their music.

Re: Life Tidbit #18 ~ It's Only Rock and Roll but I Like It...

Great tidbit. I also grew up listening to Chuck Berry. I enjoyed Jerry Lee Lewis telling about his mom saying Rock n Roll was Chuck Berry when he thought he invented it. I guess that is very telling that it has to do with your age. I enjoyed Keith curtowing to his idol after he was even more f...

I don’t know why you chose that photo but I’m glad you did. We can see what Anita looked like in the other photos but that’s a great old photo of of how cute Keith was in the day. That was the time when he was most attractive, wasn't it! Thansk DITHOT. I never really knew much about these blues players. Their history is very interesting. It amazes me that I am about the same age as the Stones and they knew so much more about the music here.
