Hollywood Vampires--All the latest news

Does anyone know, is (was) this just a one off gig in Japan, or are they supposed to have a few dates? And, is Alice with them? Didn't see him pictured. Some new video would be cool to see, and when's that album going to hit...

FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Updates

Interesting thinking about Grindewald's Comicon speech in light of the way Heyman describes the character as an "absolutist", believing firmly in the superiority of the "wizarding world" over the "muggles". Maybe that's part of Grindewald's seductiveness, in saying that...

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates

Maybe it's even political, as the film suggests a strong distrust of the LAPD. At least at that time. I was hoping I wasn't on the right track w this, but... Meanwhile there's someone at Global Road trying to make Johnny the scapegoat for the film's indefinite status??? Seems like plenty of siniste...

new Hollywood Vampires studio album. "The funny thing is, I’m not doing any writing on it," he says. "Johnny Depp, Joe Perry [and] Tommy Henriksen have written almost 90 percent of it. I come in and do a little surgery on the lyrics. But it’s interesting for me to be singing about Jo...

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates

Yes, and there may have been some Damien Echols influence at play in the references to the chupacabra and the 23rd floor...

Interview with German TV Movie magazine

It's just a relief to me that Johnny is not the "most exalted poser on stage"! Seriously though, it's nice to hear what the man himself has to say about some of these things.

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates

I have unfortunately just read an article, which was mostly about Johnny's jokes about fighting a chupacabra I remember him going on about being attacked by a chupacabra when he was in Japan doing press for Mortdecai, and I could be wrong, but I think the chupacabra was AH... :-O I know that's pure...

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates

Due to the nature of the storyline, this may have nothing to do with Johnny. Could be certain parties involved in the real story may have stopped it. :perplexed: Could be. Maybe it's even political, as the film suggests a strong distrust of the LAPD. At least at that time. But I'm hoping the studio...

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates

So we don't know exactly why it's been pulled I guess, but I glimpsed an article from maybe the Hollywood Reporter that seemed to assume it was due to Johnny's own 'bad publicity'. I didn't realize this Rocky person was suing not just Johnny, but the entire production? How did they end up with a loc...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread

The 2015 cut of London Fields is at 0% with 11 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Some of the reviews are funny but scathing. The last one by The Independent calls the film " car- crash filmmaking" and that all the performances are terrible except the good one by Johnny, who is uncredited....

Re: The Lawsuits Thread

London Fields is supposed to be releasing soon You don't say? That situation seemed to be a hopeless mess, I'm pretty surprised it's going to be released? I guess whoever invested in it wants to get some of their money back, but at this point, seeing Johnny in the same movie w AH and Billy Bob Thor...

Johnny may play a cryptocurrency billionaire ...

I'd watch it. But there was a movie Johnny had wanted to make that was mentioned in that Rolling Stone hit job called "Happier Days", about a guy who checks into a retirement home in his 40's after "losing his wife and everything". That sounds both sad and hilarious, and perhaps ...

Can't help thinking of Captain Jack with that quote. I can't think of another case where a character is such a naturally metaphoric alter ego for an actor as Jack is for Johnny. They both seem to strongly identify with the sea anyway, and that quote suits them both. I'll go away now.
