I was over at Stephen Deuters twitter account today and he has posted a link to a Magnum Photos article and photo essay that provides us with really great access to the book, "Minamata: W. Eugne Smith's Warning to the World." It's short but provides one of the best overviews of Smith's wor...
Pleased to meet you! Unofficially, as it hasn't been officially announced, I am planning the Coetzee book. Right now, I have to leave for work but I will be back in the afternoon to describe more.
We live in a time where the accuracy of something stated holds less weight than it did say 10 years ago. And sometimes the winner is not the one who is telling the truth, but the one who has an ability to use the media to their advantage. So, we need to expect what's her name will continue her campa...

Wow, I am so shocked to learn of his passing. Always a wonderful man and so caring to all really. A better protector of Johnny, a more loyal friend, caring towards fans. Just an all around great guy. My thoughts go out to Jerry's family, Johnny and family. RIP dear man, RIP.
I think bad people know how to take advantage of good people. I mean, would one of us think it was a good idea to fake where a photo was taken? No. We trust the rules and those seeking to circumvent rules realize that.
Perhaps it was impossible, for a variety of reasons, but I wish Johnny had fought back when her claim first came out. From what I read it seems his lawyer advised him not to. But, did he have no one in his camp that disagreed? He has lost a tremendous amount of ground in the past two plus years. The...
Thank you for the opportunity to read this document. It is indeed very clear and almost very devastating. I hope it receives wide coverage. The existence of documentation and witnesses is so important, and Johnny and his legal team have done an incredible job. To think of what he was going through i...
The best he can hope for is to mount such a fight that she will back down in fear of losing her own money. Total exoneration is impossible in our society. There is always someone prepared to throw dirt.
I am glad to see him finally pursuing her lies with such vigor. What a snake. And I remain bewildered that any man found or continues to find her worth bedding. She is horsey, you know? Anyway, all my support to Mr. Depp and his legal mates. It will surely be a nasty process -- getting rid of vermin...
I promise a decision soon. Smith is indeed an interesting subject, as is his work in Minamata. The topic has been a personal draw for years. The problem is cost and availability. Smith's own book Minamata is priced over US$100, and therefore out of reach for readers like us. Another book about him t...
He should have done this at the time she first made the claim - fought her right from the beginning. I think perhaps he was so devastated and so broken-hearted he didn't want to hurt her back -- and maybe he never ever believed how far she would pursue it and how awful it would all be. He loved her...

I was just interested, so I looked up the location of the store. It is located in Fréjus which is a port town on the Côte d'Azur, south east of Cannes. Old stomping grounds in a way. Better weather. Ah, the smell of salt spray!
Yep, should of. I just don't get the feeling the guy had the best financial expertise or legal expertise, and that is on both the people who worked for him, and himself. Ultimately you have to do 'due diligence' and check out things yourself.

justintime, many, many thanks! And the clip offers great insight into Johnny's character, much more than we could see before. Even with the language challenge, I see a frustrated man trying to hold his anger while he remains convinced that he is pursuing something important. I found myself really fo...
As far as I have heard Jerry has problems with his back, and even had to have an operation or is due to have one. So no, he's not suing his favourite charge - Johnny, I mean  Thanks meeps! Guess it's a good/bad thing. Sorry Jerry has back problems; glad he's still somewhat attached to JD. Alw...
