Murder on the Orient Express Question #1: The Mystery of Mystery Stories

Mysteries have always been my favorite, beginning with the Nancy Drew series when I was a little girl. First, there have to be characters I can care about, then a plot that is a challenge but not so convoluted that I can't remember what happened early on! I enjoy historical settings, as well as pres...

Wow! I've been watching the trailers with interest, even before I knew about this. Now I'm really curious. :applause2: I guess that explains the haircut too.

I agree. The only bad part is that we won't be able to see him!

But :applause2: for this role!

Re: House of Earth Tidbit #11: The World Is Made of Adobe

I truly enjoyed my trips to New Mexico, and hope to travel there again. I visited Acoma during a mission trip, fascinating tour. It's an amazing site to someone who lives in a forested area. One of our group purchased a camera permit for the tour, but I do remember seeing someone sketching & tha...

Interesting, thanks Liz! I've heard my dad often mention Route 66, and have relatives in OK City, but have seen very little of that part of the country myself.

Bobby Troup, also known as Dr. Early on 'Emergency,' interesting career he had!

Re: DS Question #2 - Soaps

I remember watching the soaps every summer while off from school. I also remember favorite storylines, like Ben & Eve, and of course, Beth & Philip from Guiding Light. Also, Tom & Margo on ATWT in the days when Justin Deas & Margaret Colin had those roles. Anyone remember the Mr. Big...

So, Pauline, Alice, and Rena are now definitely getting water systems? What an honor to be a part of the effort. Thanks, Theresa, for letting us get acquainted with them personally. :bluedaisy:

Re: DS Tidbit #1 - Kathryn, Maggie and Josette

Thanks Liz, for the wealth of information! I remember watching DS but couldn't remember specifics--this will help me sort it out! This must have been quite a challenge to write, a huge :thankyou: in advance for the tidbits to come. I must have watched Kathryn in Magnum, P.I. too, because I'm certain...

Re: Announcing the Zone's 2012 Birthday Project for Project Pueblo

I have seen only a small area of Navajo land, and there was much poverty there also. It's so heart-breaking that this has been going on for so long.

Thank you for bringing Project Pueblo to our attention, such a worthwhile cause.

No, that was one thing the book was clear on. Now, about the characters & the rest of it, that's different!

I haven't seen the movie, so that didn't enter into it for me.

Re: The Thin Man Question #8 - Are liars the easiest to fool?

...the people who lie the most are nearly always the clumsiest at it, and they’re easier to fool with lies than most people, too. You’d think they’d be on the look-out for lies, but they seem to be the very ones that will believe almost anything at all. Interesting observation. Do you think it migh...

Re: The Thin Man Question #3 ~ Nora Charles

She seems quite glamorous & sophisticated for age 26, is it? And also, somewhat jaded, but perhaps that is just how she interacts with Nick.
