Yes, I looked at these over and over, too. And the fourth one made me think that it ought to be in LIFE Magazine, with the flyswatter in her hand. A snapshot of life.

Re: 2012 Birthday Project total--hold on to your hats!

It's great to see the pictures and the "thank you" for the Zone's donation. What a great thing to be a part of.

Thanks mangodroplet for posting the link. :goodvibes:

Re: Birthday Project 2012--What is a hauled water system...and why do we care?

Thanks [font_serif:yt9b8v3m]Theresa[/font_serif:yt9b8v3m]. I have this thing about learning, so thank you for finding that answer. I need to make another trip to their site, as one question usually starts a flood of them. I have more questions that are maybe answered there. Questions like, how do th...

Re: Birthday Project 2012--What is a hauled water system...and why do we care?

Thanks for the great information, [font_serif:2nf0ajr6]Theresa[/font_serif:2nf0ajr6]. I have a question. When they eventually run out of their 405 gallons of water, who replaces it? It sounds like a the water is delivered, but I'm confused as to who delivers and where exactly the water is brought fr...

[font_serif:2ey8xirh]Theresa[/font_serif:2ey8xirh], will this thread remain available permenantly? I am several days behind and it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to catch up any time soon. Just wondering. :hatsoff: Unless the links go away because of the 'word of the day' account closure or...

Re: Babylon Nights Tidbit #27 ~ Scorpions

I do not know if I can add a tiny little tidbit to the tidbit, but I will add it and it can be deleted if it is not allowed. 1) In general the larger the claw (pedipalp) area, the less dangerous the venom. For instance, look at the claw area of the Uroctonus mordax and see how large that area is. It...

Re: Birthday Project Thank You email

I received the email also, but I'd already been sent a hard copy letter via regular mail the first week in June. The letter is on official Foundation stationery and states the amount of the donation, but is otherwise the same wording as the email. PTP - I have received thank you/acknowledgment lett...

Re: Jack Kerouac - Major News on His Estate

Thanks fansmom and Liz!!

This is huge, but it only covers that the signature was forged so presumably the will was, too. It will be EXTREMELY interesting to see what comes of it. So many possibilities. :hypnotic:

Thanks!!

Re: Birthday Project 2009 ~ Meet the Children

My brother, who came to live with us when he was six months old, and was subsequently adopted into our family, was also born with a cleft palate and a hare lip (what it was called way back in 1966). Two of his three children have the same thing, although the oldest was so slight that no one knew it ...

Re: The Corpse Bride ~ Online Pac-Man style Flash game

 Great! Which is more than I can say for my score. I need to be standing up and have a joy stick instead of arrow keys. Then again, I was never overly good at Pac Man back in the day. Now, Centipede was a completely different story.

Thanks for the game Theresa!

Re: DANIEL DEPP's Appearance in San Jose

I was so excited about your encounter Liz that I forgot two things I was going to say/ask. He would be a great one to read the audiobook.. I have always thought that, in most cases, the author is the best reader because he (or she) knows how it should sound. But, I would usually prefer an easy...
