Re: Why does Craig Brown hope that Johnny Depp's new film is a flop?

Mmm why should he wish failure on a film because of a contract he signed years before this film version was even thought of? Seems a bit childish. Even if it is unfair it's not anyone who worked on this film's fault... And after reading the book and comparing it to the trailers, it seems that it's ...

Thanks for posting that. What a shame that he won't get paid. But he did get a number of payments....so not a complete loss. I had read they made quite a few changes to the book; but hopefully his name will still be listed in the credits.

BP-2013 Government help

Just saw this article about a 5.15 billion dollar settlement to clean up mining waste. About $1 billion will go to clean up uranium contamination on Navajo lands. Hope our project area will benefit from this cleanup. For decades, uranium ore was mined from the Lukachukai Mountains of northeastern Ar...

Interesting. Did the Navajo have a written language with "books" before the Spanish came?

Re: BP 2013--The Faces of those we've helped & a Mother's Day Plea

Great to see all those smiles. I know I have posted this before, but our well water was contaminated when I was growing up. It took over a year for them to bring "city" water to us. We (6 people) lived on 40 gallons of water (carted in by my father in two garbage pails) a day for this LONG year. We ...

Re: Birthday Project Update--we're close to $1,000!

Why not donate the cost of doing a load of laundry to Project Pueblo, as a gesture of gratitude? :rose: Or the cost of a couple of bottles of water? :flower4: Every little bit helps! Great idea, PTP! :applause2: :ohyes: Thinking a bit larger...how about donating an amount equal to one month's water...

I get tears in my eyes every time I read these tales. :bawl: No one should ever have to go through what these people have endured. I hope we can offer some hope and aid to these brave people.
