It's such a moving, memorable book..It stayed with me for months after I read it..It left me with such a strong visual impression..Very confronting too...not the least of which is it's portrayal of that particular time...I love your artwork Liz :cloud9: ..Johnny is our act of love,in a way.. :cloud9:...

''He [Eric Roth]'s working on Hatfields and Mccoys and Shantaram..''I think they'll both see the light of day''..The Depp drama is awaiting a new director...but is still hoped for a first half of 07 production.''...I'm not sure that sounds all that promising..I thought he'd finished working on it an...

Talk about gutless and just because ONE parent put in a complaint..not even in writing....Sheesh :-O ..I could go on but I won't :capnjack: ..The book is definitely more on the edge than the film and Gilbert is not a sweet person as Johnny portrayed him..In fact,I didn't enjoy the book much at all.....

Certainly the story of ST is something that most Londoner's are aware of...Oral history is a fascinating subject to study and the oral history about ST is loud and persistent,so I would have to say there must be some truth in it  .

I vote for a beautiful Sweeney, to contrast with the evilness of his actions, a strong Mrs L, atmmospheric but not clichaic..[ I hear what you say about carriages, Endora, :disco: but I have good memories of Johnny and carriages :capnjack: ] and some sort of redemption for Sweeney.
